BBB Update - 4th November 2008

BIANCHI TAKES BBB HELMETS

In addition to Cofidis Competition team, the Italian mountain bike and cycle cross team Italcementi-Bianchi, will be wearing BBB Helmets for the 2009 season. Together with BBB, Bianchi decided to use the Everest helmet, the top-of-the-line MTB helmet. The Everest has 23 ventilation holes including rear ventilation holes for optimum airflow. Besides that, the helmet has carbon fibre and aluminium reinforcements in combination with a SpiderWeb inner structure. The Bianchi team will also use BBB sports glasses in the 2009 season. Besides the helmets and sports glasses BBB will, just like last year, support the team with bar ends, grips, mini-pumps and tools.

BBB ABROAD

BBB products can be found all over the world in 38 countries. To give you an idea of what is going on in other countries we present BBB shops in different countries. Next in line is ‘CykelCity’ from Sweden. At CykelCity everybody is very satisfied about BBB. In the store 80% of the floor surface is used for bike parts, accessories and clothing. The other 20% is for more expensive road bikes. In the store we found 3 metre of BBB displays, nicely filled with our BBB products. Each Monday CykelCity places new orders at our Swedish distributor, Quality Bike AB. So they never have products that are out of stock.

BBB PRODUCTS IN THE MEDIA

The Dutch cycling magazine ‘Tweewieler’ pays attention to BBB helmets, especially to the Falcon helmet.

“We know BBB for quite some years now, because of their high-quality range of bike parts and accessories. Product research and development are important aspects of the BBB brand and this always continues. The last few years BBB was the Benelux distributor of MET helmets. Now they come with their own product line of BBB helmets. In their product line BBB have fourteen different kind of helmets, in which they pays attention to race, mountain bike and children helmets. High-end and exclusive techniques as a SpiderWeb inner structure are used for the top-of-the-line BBB helmets, but you can also find affordable helmets for children for €19,95. The Falcon, one of the top road helmets, has 23 ventilation holes including rear ventilation holes for optimum airflow”, said ‘Tweewieler’.

X-PERIENCE: EMPTY DISPLAYS LEADS TO IRRITATIONS

You will find BBB displays in almost all high end cycling shops all over the world. The successful BBB concept has already proven itself. The Dutch business magazine ‘KETENS'; cooperation and efficiency’ pays attention to customer irritations. Products that are out of stock are placed at the top of a top-3 list of irritations. On second place, filling up displays during opening hours. “It’s almost impossible to take care of both these annoying facts at the same time, unless shops take the ‘Shelf Retail Ready Packaging-concept’ very seriously. This means, use simple packaging which is easy to use and reaches stores in a good condition”, said ‘KETENS’. BBB has been using this concept for some years. BBB packaging is functional and promotional which displays each product optimally. But you need to do more to keep your customers satisfied. Ensure adequate stock so customers will always find the product they are looking for. Prevent irritations; keep your products on display up-to-date.

BBB @ FORUM

"A very respectable weight for a handlebar at this price, and it rides well too”. That’s the comment on BikeRadar.com about the BBB FastBar handlebar. The British forum about cycling is reviewing products on a regular basis, this time the FastBar of BBB.

“This is a stiff but slightly forgiving handlebar, ideally suited to racing/training on a budget. If you like having your hands quite high up, close to the brake/shifter unit, when you’re on the drops then this could well be the best bargain bar out there. But if you like your hands towards the end of the drops, you might not like them so much due to the aggressive bends on the drops sections”, said BikeRadar.
