BH SR Suntour team rider Julie Bresset finished in 3rd place at the fourth round of the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup in La Bresse, France at the weekend. The excellent result means Julie is still in the lead in the overall rankings with 2,372 points followed by Pendrel in 2nd (2,280 points) and Maja Wloszczowska in 3rd (2,095 points).

Organizers estimated a crowd of 25,000 spectators watched the Sunday’s race. The tough 4.8km circuit consisting of one long, steep singletrack climb followed by a technical downhill was made even more challenging due to the overnight rain on Saturday making the course muddy and slippery.

It was Dahle Flesjaa who led the start of the women’s race until Nash took the lead followed closely by Julie Bresset and World Champion Catharine Pendrel.

Unfortunately about half way through the five-lap race, Pendrel crashed badly on the descent. Julie was so close behind her and with no-where to go crashed into her. Nash and Dahle managed to pass and held on to the lead for the remainder of the race. Julie attacked very hard in last lap managed to move up into 3rd place. Next round is Monte St. Anne in June.

BH SR Suntour are using the top of the range Carbon Axon suspension forks.
